What to Expect From Your Reiki Session in Lexington, KY
If you’re thinking about booking your first Reiki session, especially if you’re here in Lexington, you might be feeling tired, overwhelmed, or just off. Maybe you can’t quite put your finger on what’s wrong, but you know something needs to shift.
Let me just say this first:
You’re not too much.
You’re not behind.
You’re just carrying a lot.
And Reiki helps with that.
What Is Reiki, Really?
Reiki is a gentle but powerful form of energy healing that works with your body’s natural life force. It helps release stuck energy, soothe your nervous system, and reconnect you with the part of yourself that knows how to heal.
In my sessions, I work with both Usui and Holy Fire® Reiki, along with intuitive tools like crystals, tuning forks, and sometimes guidance from the Akashic Records or tarot, depending on what you’re open to and what your energy is asking for that day. No two sessions are ever the same.
Setting the Scene: Your Reiki Space in Lexington
When you arrive at my healing space, there’s no fluorescent lighting or forced Zen vibes. You’ll step into a quiet, grounded room that holds a calm, steady energy. Soft music will be playing (relaxing, not spa-cheesy), and if you’ve said yes on your intake form, I may be diffusing essential oils to support your system.
We’ll take a few minutes to talk before your session so I can get a feel for what’s been going on, physically, emotionally, or energetically. You don’t need to have all the answers. You don’t need the perfect words. You can even say, “I don’t know, I just feel off.” That’s more than enough. Reiki knows.
You’ll stay fully clothed and lie down on a massage table while I begin the session, placing my hands gently on or just above the body, depending on your comfort level.
What You Might Feel During Reiki
Reiki feels different for everyone. Here’s what some people have experienced:
A deep sense of calm or peace
Gentle waves of energy or tingling
Warmth in some regions of the body
Emotions surfacing and releasing
Feeling lighter, clearer, or just more like yourself
And yes, sometimes people fall asleep. That’s not just okay, it’s often a sign your body finally feels safe enough to let go. You’re still receiving the Reiki. That kind of rest? It’s not just sleep, it’s a reset.
After the Session
Most people leave feeling more grounded, clear, and in tune with themselves. You may feel emotional, quiet, tender, or even energized. Give yourself space to notice what shifts over the next few days. I always recommend drinking water, moving slowly if you can, and letting your system integrate.
If I receive any intuitive messages or guidance during the session, I’ll share it with you, only if it feels helpful and relevant. No fear-based fluff, just grounded insight if you’re open to it.
Booking Your Reiki Session
I offer both 45- and 60-minute Reiki sessions depending on what your system needs. You also have the option to add a separate 30-minute session before or after your Reiki, something I call a “clarity add-on.” That could be card pulls, intuitive guidance, or just space to process and integrate. Think of it like extra support, either side of the energy work.
You can also bundle Reiki with my other offerings, like the Akashic Records or tarot, for a longer, more layered healing experience. These are great when you’re navigating big shifts, grief, burnout, or spiritual awakening. If you’re not sure what’s right for you, just reach out. We’ll figure it out together.
Lexington has this deep-rooted, sacred energy to it, and I feel it every time I hold space here. Whether you’re navigating a hard season or just craving a pause, Reiki offers you a quiet place to return to yourself.
You don’t have to show up “fixed” or put together.
You just have to show up.
I’ll meet you there.
