Manifestation Isn’t a Magic Command
Sometimes, a client will come to me excited about a possibility. They want guidance, clarity, and to know what to do next. A while back, I had someone like this reach out. They were thrilled about a potential outcome, and in that moment, I shared what I was sensing about the energy around the situation as it was in the moment.
I might have said something like, “Manifest the shit out of it.” That’s very much my style, but here’s the important part: that wasn’t a command, and it wasn’t a guarantee. That phrasing reflected their own excitement and desire in the moment. It was about tuning into the energy that was present, not telling someone exactly what to do.
I want to be very clear about this: I don’t give yes/no instructions like “stay put” or “go now.” I provide insight into the energy I feel in a situation so people can understand what’s present and make their own choices. How someone acts on that information is always their decision, and the outcome isn’t something I can, or should, take responsibility for.
This is where manifestation gets tricky. People sometimes want it to be a magic button: say the words, do the ritual, and boom—your life looks like your vision board. However, the truth is that manifestation is never neutral. The energy behind your intention, hope, excitement, fear, doubt…all of it shapes what unfolds. If there’s a “but” attached—like fear, worry, or hesitation—that energy shows up in the outcome just as strongly as the hope or excitement does.
When someone blames me for how things turn out, it’s usually because they’re projecting their frustration. They wanted a clear instruction, but that’s not what I give. Guidance is about awareness, not controlling results. I reflect what’s happening energetically so people can make informed, conscious choices , and sometimes, the universe (or life circumstances) doesn’t line up with what we hope for.
What I love about this work is that it teaches nuance. Manifestation isn’t a “do this, get that” system. It’s a practice in self-awareness, alignment, and emotional honesty. Sometimes it works in ways we expect. Sometimes it works in ways we don’t. And sometimes, it’s a reminder that the energy behind our intentions is just as important as the outcome itself.
So if you’re working with manifestation or energetic guidance, here’s the takeaway: watch your energy. Notice the emotions behind your intentions. Own your choices. And remember, guidance isn’t a promise, it’s insight. Your life is yours to navigate, and your growth comes from tuning into the energy you’re carrying, not from blaming anyone else when things get messy.
